The flat iron steak has gained popularity as a good alternative to more expensive steaks. Nearly as tender as a tenderloin, but at a fraction of the cost. Flat iron steak is cut from the shoulder of the cow and is nicely marbled. When cooked properly, a flat iron steak is tender, juicy and full of flavour. We recommend cooking this cut on the grill - it doesn't need long at all. 250g per steak, 1 steak per pack.

About the producer
Green Meadows Beef, New Zealand

Founded in 2012, the 3rd generation Carey 420 acre farm produces Green Meadows Angus beef reared on exceptional grasslands under Mount Taranaki, close to the North Island’s famous ‘Green Meadows’ surf break. The family’s prime steers graze on pure cool climate grass giving the animals exceptional flavour, colour and texture. Key to our own philosophy, the Carey family passion extends from rearing cattle raised without antibiotics and have no nasties and meticulously managing the production chain from farm to wholly owned production facility, to our warehouse.
