In the heart of the Suffolk countryside next to the ancient Anglo-Saxon National Trust site lies another heritage treasure - the Sutton Hoo farm.
Sutton Hoo Free Range Chickens are chickens with a difference. The poultry enjoy an antibiotic free diet without drugs of any kind and has gained a national reputation for its quality and unsurpassed welfare. The birds live in small groups and shelter from the elements in naturally ventilated houses without artificial lighting. From about two weeks of age, the happy chicks venture outside to enjoy exploring under Suffolk’s vast open skies and are slow grown to maturity, resulting in delicious, succulent meat.
Belinda Nash started Sutton Hoo Chicken over 20 years ago with her late husband Charles. It was Charles' vision to bring character and flavour back to chicken and give a renewed respect to traditional, free range farming. The pair set out to produce chicken that was truly free range, exceptionally tasty and to be enjoyed on any occasion.
Today, with her business partner Will, they continue to further their lifelong dream, by rearing chickens for longer with the poultry's welfare as their top priority and with access to roam freely in the fields for a truly delicious flavour.
