Borsari Classic Pandoro
This classic pandoro is made from a rich, eggy dough, not unlike a French brioche. The cake is baked in an eight-pointed star-shaped pan that gives it its signature form, modeled after the mountains near Verona, where the cake was first made. Traditionally, Italians give the festively wrapped cakes as gifts, as they symbolize luck and prosperity through the New Year. Delicious on its own, pandoro also pairs well with coffee and wine. About the producer
Borsari originates from the city of Verona, the undisputed homeland of the Pandoro. Master pastry chef, Tiziano Golfetti, opened his first artisan workshop in 1903, out of which he produced the Pandoro and Panettoni. Faithful to the artisan tradition, Borsari continues to craft their baked specialties with the same care and precision, with particular emphasis on the quality of their ingredients.
