Bachelder Les Villages Pinot Noir
A bright and ripe wine with delicate crushed savoury cherry, raspberry bramble and light oak spices from neutral oak aging for 18 months. Pleasantly dry with a gentle, mouth-watering acidity. Sustainably farmed, harvested by hand, wild yeast fermented in the limestone-laced vineyards of Niagara, Canada. 750ml.
This stunning Canadian wine is ready to drink and will continue to develop in-bottle over the next three to five years. Canada is categorized as a ‘cool climate’ region, providing ideal growing conditions where grapes ripen slowly and uniformly, combining a fine balance between natural sugar and acidity levels, resulting in highly aromatic wines with lively, concentrated flavours.
"Thomas Bachelder is one of the most talented winemakers in
Canada, and his pinot noir ranks alongside the best of Burgundy."
- Will Lyons, London (UK) Sunday Times
Thomas Bechelder and his wife Mary Delaney have unwittingly become wine gypsies, following their passion to produce terroir-revealing wines from the two most noble Burgundian grapes – Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Bachelder is now a winery with cellars located in three of the world’s classic cool-climate Chardonnay regions: Burgundy; Oregon and Niagara.
