On the subject of pigs, I'm reminded of a friend telling me recently about an encounter she and her kids had with a large family of wild boars whilst biking around Pasir Ris. She described the size of the adult male as akin to "a good sized rugby player", which darted across the trail in front of them accompanied by eight or nine smaller boars. I thought this was both wonderful and frightening, a great reminder of the diversity hidden (and not so hidden) around us in this tropical little island. Have a look at this report from Channel News Asia who captured one such boar family out and about one evening recently.
