All fish are traceable from catch, where each is assigned a bench number with production date, catch date and information about the vessel that it was caught by. Such care and consideration is present with every catch to ensure that their customers know exactly what they are consuming.
Sustainable fishing is at the heart of Solander's mission to sourcing the very best of New Zealand seafood. Their community of local fishermen use only circle hooks and the longline fishing method, which is one of the most environmentally sensitive fishing methods. This creates no damage to the seabed or benthic communities.
