We are having a huge week here at The Barbie Girls, with much to celebrate! Five years ago exactly, I established a modest, home-based business with the primary goal of feeding my own family the best, cleanest meat and fish I could find, a journey which took me initially to New Zealand and Australia. From the breakfast table in my tiny kitchen, I grew to love receiving small deliveries of gorgeous produce from the farmers and pastures I had visited and vetted myself; it felt fantastic to know the food on our plates was as good as it could get anywhere in the world, and very quickly, my lovely friends began to request inclusion in my then small orders.
Fast forward five years, and I'm penning this newsletter from The Barbie Girls HQ in Jurong, overlooking an office burgeoning with best-in-class food products, our bustling warehouse, two of our very own delivery trucks and a truly wonderful team of eight people who make it a pleasure for me to come to work each day. We chalked up five tons of product orders in the month of September, which reminds me of just how far we have come from that small kitchen start-up.
As a small business owner, I am so grateful to you for choosing to buy my products, which I hope are making your daily culinary lives that bit more healthy and enjoyable. I appreciate your support and I'm looking forward to providing you with continued quality, variety and great service ahead.
Tripadvisor Top 10 "Things to Do" in Margaret River.
One of the fondest memories of my food journey so far is discovering the Vasse Virgin emporium nestled in the rolling hills and olive groves of Margaret River in Western Australia. It's a really special place, producing some of the most gorgeous, clean, sustainable products available, and I was delighted to secure their olive oils, gourmet condiments and vinegars for our customers here in Singapore.
